تُعدّ هذه المقالة من الدراسات النقدية التي تهدف إلى التمييز بين القصة والرواية، تمهيدًا لإخضاع كتاب «إديوسنكريسي» للمعايير والمقاييس النقدية؛ للكشف عن حقيقته السردية وتحديد جنسه الأدبي. وقد توصّل الباحث من خلال هذه الدراسة إلى أن القصة والرواية يشتركان في كونهما نصّين نثريين سرديين، غير أنهما يختلفان من حيث الحجم وطبيعة اللغة والأسلوب، مما يدل على وجود علاقة عموم وخصوص بينهما. وبناءً على ذلك، يمكن تصنيف كتاب «إديوسنكريسي» ضمن جنس الرواية؛ لما يتوافر فيه من خصائص فنية وسردية تميّز الرواية.
English Abstract:
This article is a critical study that aims to distinguish between the short story and the novel as a preliminary step toward evaluating the book “Idiosyncrasy” according to critical standards and criteria in order to determine its true narrative genre and literary type. Through this modest academic study, the researcher concludes that both the novel and the short story are prose narrative texts that share certain characteristics, yet differ in length, language, and stylistic nature, indicating a relationship of generality and specificity between them. Based on these findings, the book “Idiosyncrasy” can be classified as a novel due to the presence of the essential characteristics and features of the novel genre.
